This evening, Migo Events is teaming up with Chinita Paisa of Perreo NYC by Isa and Mariposa LCSW to host a food drive for immigrant families. They will be collecting non-perishable food items and gift cards to grocery stores and restaurants to distribute to families in need throughout New York City. Donations will be distributed by Mi Tlalli, an organization that has been supporting asylum-seeking families, individuals, and children from across Central America, South America, and Africa since 2022. The hosts are looking for volunteers in addition to donations to help organize and pack donations for distribution. Stop by to drop off donations, or stay to grab a drink at Viva Toro and help organize donations. If you can't make it, cash donations are being accepted through Mi Tlalli's website.

Following the recent launch at Latin American fashion concept shop, Tumbao, Colombian-American beauty brand Cidra is partnering with the fashion brand Helena Magdalena for a Summer Pop-Up this Wednesdsay. Cidra, named after the founders’ grandmother and the native Colombian fruit known for its rejuvenating properties, was founded as a tribute to the founders’ “Latin-American legacy that shaped us and the botanical-rich land we proudly call home.” Cidra’s lip balms, their first product, are crafted in a lab just outside of Bogotá from natural ingredients, and will be available to sample throughout the evening alongside Helena Magdalena's recent collection.

Paso Run Club is leading weekly 3-mile and 5-mile runs on Thursday evenings from Columbus Circle at Central Park. “Inspired by a community that keeps showing up,” Paso was founded by runners Angelo Sinchi and Evelyn Amendano to support runners in their journey to pon tus millas. The meet-up is at 6:00 PM with the run kicking off at 7:00 PM. All paces are welcome, bag drop is available, and the runs will take off rain or shine.

Fresh off DJing the adidas x Willy Chavarria after-party following Willy Chavarria's much talked about Spring/Summer 2026 menswear show at Men's Fashion Week in Paris last week, hellotones is back in town for back-to-back events this Thursday. The first is a silent disco at Lincoln Center's Summer For The City stage, in the plaza at Lincoln Center. The series is bringing DJs and artists of all genres for outdoor dance parties all summer long—check out Baila Cozmic featuring Dominican-American DJs Dada Cozmic and Ultra Violet spinning house, dembow and disco this Wednesday, and Las Guaracheras from Cali, Colombia playing live salsa on Thursday earlier in the evening. From Lincoln Square to the East Village, "El Hijo de Puebla York" will be bringing his kumbias mezcladas across Manhattan for a late night of dancing to La Kumbiamba Bajo Manhattan. hellotones will be joined by fellow cumbia DJs DJ Chihuahua, Millz "El Negro Mezclador", and Sonidera Blues "El Cumbyero Mix." While we might be biased—hellotones is one of our favorite DJs in the city—it's the passion for the culture and community that is cultivated by cumbias that inspires us the most, especially now. In collaboration with Japanese noodle spot, Tonchin, Taqueria Ramírez is serving up ramen tacos every evening after 5:00 PM through next Sunday, July 13. The culinary collab follows Tonchin's success of pizza ramen. Tonchin is serving only 20 bowls of ramen tacos—homemade whole wheat thick noodles in a a tonkatsu broth with pastor and longanisa, perfected with cilantro, lime, piña, pink pepper, and chicharrones, served with fresh tortillas and salsa, of course—each day at its Williamsburg location.
